FAQ

Common questions.

Where should I start if I'm not sure which service is right?

If you want a structured starting point without committing to a consultancy engagement, the £99 Scorecard is purpose-built for that — 25 questions, 10 minutes, instant report identifying your biggest risk areas. If you'd rather talk to someone, book a free 20-minute diagnostic call.

Do I need a diagnostic call before booking an audit?

No — you can submit a booking enquiry directly if you already know what you need. The diagnostic call is free and useful if you're not sure whether the audit is the right fit, or if you want to discuss the scope before committing.

How does the zero-risk guarantee work in practice?

The audit fee is split 50/50 — £475 on booking, £475 on report delivery. If the report doesn't identify operational savings or improvements worth more than the total audit fee, the second instalment is waived. You keep the report. No invoice raised. No conversation needed.

My operation is outside the Midlands — can you still do the audit?

Yes. UK travel is inclusive of the audit fee — no surcharge regardless of location within the UK. Overseas operations are also possible; flight and accommodation costs are quoted upfront and invoiced separately.

What's the difference between Rapid-Resolve and the audit?

Rapid-Resolve is a remote session focused on one specific, defined problem — useful if you know exactly what you want to address. The audit is a comprehensive floor-level assessment of the whole operation — it finds problems you didn't know were there as well as the ones you did. If you're not sure which is right, book a free diagnostic call.

Does the Transformation Programme require an audit first?

Usually yes — the programme is built on the findings from an On-Site Audit, and we need a baseline to work from. That said, exceptions are made if your operational situation is already well-defined and an audit would just delay implementation. The booking enquiry asks the right questions to figure out which applies.

Do you have any preferred software or system vendors?

No. PainKiller doesn't earn referral fees, resell software, or have preferred vendor relationships of any kind. If a recommendation involves technology, it will be the technology that's right for the operation — not what pays a commission.
